HeyMadeWeb

How it works

From what you have to a website you can edit.

Six steps, from a link or a few lines of text to a live site you keep current. Here is exactly what happens at each one, including the parts that take longer than two minutes.

  1. 1

Point us at what already exists

Use one source or several. A source that cannot be read never blocks the rest.

    • Your website Read A handful of public pages: name, contact details, hours, services, about text, logo and photos.
    • Text you paste Read Anything you write about the business: hours, menu, services, story.
    • Uploads Read Photos, logo, a menu as PDF. Yours, so ready to publish.
    • Instagram link Read The public profile, read with no Instagram account: name, bio, profile photo and recent photos when they are public. Paste or upload if Instagram does not answer.
    • Google Maps link Reference The place name and map location from the link, as suggestions. Not a Business Profile connection.

Websites are read by HeyMadeWebBot: at most 6 pages per request, public addresses only, no scripts run, no logins.

  2. 2

    Check one short summary

Name, category, location, services, contact, hours and the look we picked up. Every fact remembers where it came from. If two sources disagree, say about opening hours, we flag it and ask, instead of quietly choosing one. Missing essentials are asked for once.

Photos found on the web are marked as not yet confirmed. Public does not mean yours to reuse, so you confirm them or upload your own.

  3. 3

    Get a real first draft

We choose a design that fits the business and compose the pages from your facts. You see real progress, not a fake timer:

    1. Collecting information
    2. Organising the business
    3. Composing pages
    4. Preparing your preview

Two minutes is our target for a useful first draft once your sources are readable. We measure it on fixed sample sources instead of promising it for every case. Account approvals, a client's sign-off and DNS for your own domain are not part of those two minutes.

  4. 4

Change it by asking, or by hand

Click a section and edit it, or ask: “Use warmer colours.” “Move the gallery above the about section.” “We're open Mon–Fri 8–16, closed Sunday.” The same edits work from ChatGPT or Claude once connected.

Every change becomes a revision with who made it and why. If two people edit the same version, the second sees a clear conflict instead of silently overwriting the first.

  5. 5

Publish the exact version you approved

Before anything goes live we check it, show what will change, and ask the person allowed to publish to confirm. The site is built into fast static pages and switched over only when the whole release passes its checks; if anything fails, the current site stays up. Earlier releases can be restored.

Publish on a heymadeweb.com address, or connect your own domain: we show the DNS records, verify them and issue the certificate, and tell you honestly while that is still pending.

  6. 6

Keep it, and your channels, current

Update hours, add an offer, swap photos, answer enquiries. In the content studio, one update becomes a post for Instagram, your Facebook Page and your Google Business Profile, each checked against that platform's rules.

Direct posting and scheduling switch on as Meta and Google approve HeyMadeWeb. Until then every post can be copied and posted by hand, and no channel is ever shown as connected when it is not.

What HeyMadeWeb never does

  • Invent prices, reviews, opening hours, awards, guarantees or years in business
  • Publish a site or a post without a person confirming it
  • Post to your social accounts just because an import finished
  • Show an account, a post or a domain as done before it really is
  • Run code from websites it reads, or follow instructions written in them
  • Give your assistant your passwords or your social account tokens

Your business already has a story. Turn it into a website.

Start from what you already have. Change anything by asking. Publish when you are happy with it.
